Some of you may know this gentleman. His name is Ed Marvin, and the creativity this man demonstrates is beyond words. This fellow is an inspiration to all of us who want to save a dime.
The link to the first YouTube video is provided as merely an explanation of how he cuts the truck bed liner. The wind is blowing so his voice is a bit difficult to hear, but you really don't need to. As I see it, knowing what the dimensions of a standard truck bed liner are will do.
F150 standard truck bed liner: long bed 64 7/8" x 97 1/4
short bed 65 1/4" x 81 3/4"
These are fleet size-
for other dimensions see: http://www.kanopykingdom.com/TRUCK%20MATS.htm
After you watch a bit of this video, http://www.youtube.com/watcv=wnL2ZTt320E&feature=player_detailpage&list=PL2105C9A33A121484, you get the idea of how he cuts the bed liner. 14 minutes and 45 seconds. But, wait a minute, the music isn't bad either by his nephew, Music Sound Track By; Casey Marvin (Save Me).
Then, travel to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4B2gfEADHuA&list=PL2105C9A33A121484 5 minutes and 14 seconds and see how he made a homemade dredge. If you get an estimate of the width and length of the bed liner used, the dimensions of the other pieces of PVC, etc. should be ok.
This is worth the time. Hats off to this guy for all of the creative ideas he has. When you get to one of his YouTube creations, you will see all of the other videos he has made on the right.
May all your nuggets be golden.
Worldwide Treasure Gold prospected in Arizona 15 years. I wound up reading online about recreational prospecting which helped a lot. But, while I prospected with a club in Apache Junction, Arizona, I was reading about treasure associated with channels on prospecting. The experience was impetus 4 reading about treasure. The stories are from Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, & California; treasure buried by ancient Indians, Spanish conquistadors, or 19th century prospectors.
