Overland Stage Line Robbed of Reported Treasure (in Idaho), But Is It True?

Still focusing on the middle of the United States, a famous robbery in east Idaho 

continues as legend. Reportedly, in 1865, the Overland Stage Line was robbed by the Picket 

Coral Gang. With a bad reputation as a robbery syndicate, the gang could have secreted

the goods in Portneuf  Canyon. The gang was known as the Picket Coral Gang. Much of what is

known has been reported by the East Idaho News. Is it a legend, a fact-based story, or perhaps

a new manifestation of "gold fever" manifestation? You decide.
