Superstition Mountain Treasure Hunters Gather at Prospector Park for Breakfast and Metal Detecting

Image
On August 18, 2013, the Superstition Mountain Treasure Hunters club met at Prospector Park in Apache Junction, Arizona. We had a wonderful breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon, rolls, tortillas, hash browns, and more. I have included this to show how much fun one can have in a prospecting club. You can find a lot of friends and engage in outings for the purpose of finding gold! Our club has many claims, some of which are in the Yavapai County Bradshaw Mountain area famous for its historical gold. There is still plenty of placer there. If you have thought about joining a club, just do it. I bet it will be something you will be glad you did. At the breakfast, we had a half hour metal detecting contest (it was hot) with prizes awarded to the winners. This is a shot of some of the guys hunting for targets.

Gold Fever Prospecting.com Has Free Equipment Tips

Check out 3 great tips free for prospectors. Want a way to determine where gold should settle in running water? This is such a gret way to do so, I have tried it; it works! Electric motors have strong magnets. Save them when a motorized tools go south. Pick out black sand with them. If you are like me, you have some worn out electric drills or saws because you couldn't bear to part with so much assembled material. Carry less equipment especially on hills and mountains.
