This evening I was looking for information on drop riffle sluices. While I was perusing, I discovered a nice site with all the steps a fellow used to build a recirculatiing sluice. He more or less logged the whole procedure of constructing the construction. What he has to say is enlightening. After reading the steps that follow, note the warnings at the end of the article. Crush the gold-bearing rock to a fine powder. Put the crushed rock and flux in a crucible. Place the crucible in the furnace. Heat the furnace to 1947.52 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the melting point of gold. Take out the crucible. Pour the liquid gold into the mold.
