Golden Legends Tales of Buried Treasure

  Bill Walters was born in Oklahoma Territory's Fort Sill. He spent the majority of his adolescence working as a cowboy before starting as a section hand for the Santa Fe Railroad.  Walters got involved in train robberies and stagecoach robberies soon after starting his job with the railroad. Around 1893, he joined the Black Jack Ketchum Gang and is thought to have participated in at least two murders there. He quickly persuaded a few of the gang members to depart with him and start their own group that would focus on robbing Wells Fargo shipments. He would achieve his greatest success in this quest. Walters committed multiple murders while robbing unspecified sums of money from shipments between 1894 and 1897. It's highly unlikely that he actually stole the quantities claimed in folklore.   Sir Thomas Cavendish (1560[1] –  May 1592) was an English explorer and a privateer known as  "The Navigator" because he was the first who deliberately tried to emulate Sir Francis Drake  and raid the Spanish towns and ships in the Pacific and return by circumnavigating the globe. His richest prize was the captured 600-ton sailing ship the Manila Galleon Santa Ana  (also called Santa Anna). No doubt his exploits gained broad attention, especially since  Queen Elizabeth knighted him. It is probable that Cavendish sailed near Hawaii on his first journey to circumnavigate the globe. While in the Philippines (1587), Cavendish heard of ships that were to arrive with treasure from  Mexico and South America.  The Manila galleons were restricted by the Spanish Monarch to one or two ships/year and typically carried all  the goods accumulated in the Philippines in a year's worth of trading silver, from the Mints  in Peru and Mexico, with the Chin...

Still focusing on the middle of the United States, a famous robbery in east Idaho  continues as legend. Reportedly, in 1865, the Overland Stage Line was robbed by the Picket  Coral Gang. With a bad reputation as a robbery syndicate, the gang could have secreted the goods in Portneuf  Canyon. The gang was known as the Picket Coral Gang. Much of what is known has been reported by the East Idaho News. Is it a legend, a fact-based story, or perhaps a new manifestation of "gold fever" manifestation?   From 1716 to 1718, the privateer Blackbeard navigated the West Indies and Atlantic Shoreline of North America, going after ships loaded down with gold, silver,  and different fortunes from Mexico and South America coming back to Spain. Blackbeard is said to have wildly flaunted on about his lost gold, however he never confided in anybody enough information to uncover the mysterious area.  In 1718, he was at long last taken and executed. Treasure trackers have been looking for Blackbeard's secret fortunes from that point forward, spying and searching the the coast in any direction from Virginia's Chesapeake Straight to the Caribbean and Cayman Islands. Not at all like Blackbeard's plunder, these extraordinary, submerged treasures have  really been found. The Old Ozark Fortune Cavern is still lost, undisturbed for years. One of the Ozarks' greatest secrets,  The Old Spanish Fortune Cavern in the northwest corner of Arkansas is thought to hold stowed-away fortunes.  Covered by Spanish conquerors escaping  from local  Americans quite a long time back, the cache stays hidden.  The actual fortune has  not yet been found, yet relics from the time span have been found close nearby.  Head protectors, weapons, and shields have all been found.
